Our future in Europe - international debate for youths from Sopot (PL), Ratzeburg (DE) and Naestved (DK) Cities

The main aim of the project titled “Our future in Europe - international debate for youths from Sopot, Ratzeburg and Naestved Cities” is rising awareness about common European values, history, culture and future of students from twining towns. General project activities are international exchange of knowledge about EU challenges and diversity between students from different European countries. Organisation of the European debate in Sopot and integration of 60 students from high schools will encourage young generation to actively participate and make them aware of an impact they might have to solve the EU problems by attending to EU elections and voting. Students from German and Denmark will have a chance to integrate with other participants and get know polish culture heritage by seeing historical places and The European Centre of Solidarity in Gdansk. Students visiting Sopot and taking part in international exchange, debate and integration activities will have opportunity to learn respect to European cultural diversity and get familiar to different historic past of other nations. Key project outcome is engaging young people to civic participation and to take active part in EU political life and elections. The youth exchange and visit is planned to last 4 days and it will take place in October 2021.

Project partners are cities: Ratzeburg (Germany) and Naestved (Denmark). Leader of the project partnership and the host of the project debate for youth  is the City of Sopot from Poland. The project "Our future in Europe – international debate for youths from Sopot (PL), Ratzeburg (DE) and Naestved (DK) Cities", is co-funded by the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Union.
